The weeks really go by quickly, don’t they? Today is the last day of summer and the first day of autumn. The autumnal equinox occurs at 6:03 p.m., which means it’s still summer when you wake up today, but when you go to bed tonight, summer is over. This is a strange idea.
Autumn has a wonderful miss, but also a little sadness and haunting. I guess that’s why it’s the best time of year for Halloween. The world dies around us, and its demise is lovely and often spectacular. The green leaves turn into flames of various colors before falling and turning into a covering.
Then slowly the flames died, and the branches became bare. Wake up in winter and slowly climb from summer’s hibernation. We felt its coolness long before December, and then ushered in the season at Christmas with the Festival of Lights. The fiery autumn canopy is replaced by the smell of crackling fireplaces and wood smoke.
But hey, there’s still a little summer. Let’s do this Wordle and go out and play!

Dang, getting this third reminds me that it’s been a long time since I got a word under four. I had two guess words some time ago, but this was a rare surprise. Mostly I’ve been at four, sometimes five. The occasional six.
Today, my first guess was kind of rubbish, but it ended up syncing nicely with the final answer. choir That only brings the total down to 478, which is a big number. thank goodness, need Gives me three more correct letters, leaving one green and three yellow. At this point, I don’t know that there are only two options left to me.
I swapped the T and S, and once I moved the “I” to the only place left, I was left with a working letter: N. So here I go, I’m so happy, victorious! Shhh!
