Gavin Newsom Escalates Feud With ‘Stupid’ GOP Governors

On Tuesday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom had some harsh words for Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and his fellow Republican governors.

“Those conservative governors, Greg Abbott and others, how stupid they want to be,” Newsom joking At the Clinton Global Initiative event in New York. “And they’re just stupidly doubling down and we’re not going to follow their path.”

Abbott and his conservative ally Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made headlines last week for sending migrants out of Texas to protest President Joe Biden’s border policies.
