LONDON, Sept 22 (Reuters) – Britain’s communications regulator said it would investigate the position of cloud computing “hyperscale” Amazon, Microsoft and Google, which together account for about 81 percent of the market’s revenue, to assess the strength of competition.
The company also said Thursday that it will examine other digital marketplaces over the next year, including messaging services like WhatsApp, FaceTime and Zoom, as well as connected TVs and smart speakers.
