September’s Xbox Update Is Out Now With Color-Changing Xbox Button, Revamped Library, And More

The September Update for Xbox is now available, adding new storage options, easier access to your games, and more.
The new update, released today (September 21), brings improvements to your library for Xbox to make it easier to access your games and apps. The full library view has been simplified to show you all games you are entitled to install and play, and all game sections, including games you can play with any subscription you have, such as Game Pass, EA Access, and Games and Gold .

The new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core is now available, and with this latest update, you’ll be able to change the color of the Xbox buttons on any Series 2 Elite controller. You can do this in the Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox console or PC as long as your controller is connected.
You also now have more options for storage, as you can now choose different installation locations for games and apps on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. For example, you can let your Xbox decide where to optimize your Xbox Series X|S games, you can choose to install backwards-compatible games on an external hard drive, and put apps on internal storage.
The Xbox Game Bar has a new option to get a shareable link for any game you capture on PC. You can do it via SMS, WhatsApp, Twitter, Messenger, etc, and if your settings are public, anyone can view your captures.
Party Chat Noise Suppression is now available on Xbox One and Windows 11/10 PC, so if you use Party Chat, hopefully you’ll notice less “unwanted noise and distractions” like “gamepad clicks” , breathing and background noise”. “
Setting up a party is also easier now, as the Xbox mobile app has a “Start Party” option that “easily jump right into the game with your friends.”
