New House of the Dragon clip shows a major life event for Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra

As the story moves forward a decade, “House of the Dragon” episode 6 will recast four main characters — and to get us ready, HBO has introduced two new faces in a puzzling new cut.
The clip you can watch below follows the wedding of Rhaenyra Targaryen (played by Millie Alcock at the time) and Leno Valerian (Theo Nate) in episode 5 of. Here, the latter ties the knot with the princess after the two privately agree to allow each other to have different lovers, examining Rhaenyla and her new baby.
“A boy! I just heard,” Leno (now played by John MacMillan) happily bursts out the door. “Good job. Where are you going?”

“She wants to see him,” explains a giddy Rhaenyra (now played by Emma D’Arcy), referring to her former best friend and stepmother Alison Hightower (Olivia D’Arcy). Cook, succeeding Emily Kelly). As the two started walking towards the Queen’s bedroom, Leno naively asked if the delivery was “very painful”, and Rhaenyra gave him a searing look. “I once had a spear in my shoulder,” he recalls sweetly, to which Rhaenyra sarcastically replied: “My deepest sympathy.”
Rhaenyra kneeled in pain before they went up the stairs. But when she heard the bells start to ring, she insisted to Laenor that they had to keep going. As the War of Succession looms, she won’t let Allison see her in a weakened state.
Although only 71 seconds, it’s a good introduction for a new cast.Time-jumping skeptical fans may be happy to see Rhaenyla is as stubborn and determined as she was in her youth, and her sweet relationship with Leno has held up over the past decade—despite her lover Chris Fabien Frankel defeated his, Joffrey Longmouth (Sorley MacLeod) dies of a misunderstanding at the wedding. In short, it’s easy to accept that these are the same characters we’ve been watching for the past six weeks.
