Marvel Studios Hires Jeff Kaplan And Ian Springer To Write Fantastic Four Film

deadline Marvel Studios has reportedly found a writer for its new Fantastic Four movie. Jeff Kaplan — not to be confused with Blizzard’s predecessor Jeff Kaplan — and Ian Springer are heading to Baxter Mansion as they prepare to write the script for the highly anticipated film.

Deadline’s source added that Kaplan and Springer had been involved in the film for a while, even before Matt Shackman signed on to direct. What’s more, the two have been helping to outline where the next series of films will fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

News of Shakman’s signing as director was broken by Deadline ahead of confirmation at this year’s D23 expo. Kaplan and Springer are still newcomers to the industry, and their team is mostly known for their 2013 indie comedy “Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship.”

The new Fantastic Four movie may kick off Phase 6, premiering on November 8, 2024. It was followed by two Avengers films, “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” on May 2 of that year and “Avengers: Secret War” six months later.

As for the film’s cast, it hasn’t been announced yet, but there are rumors of several big stars joining, but nothing has been confirmed yet, and we’re still a long way from any sort of announcement.
