UK renters: have you been forced to move area or city? | Renting property

According to property website Rightmove, the average advertised rent outside London is 11.8% higher than a year ago, while in the capital it is up 15.8%.

Meanwhile, far fewer properties are available: trade group Propertymark finds Availability halved since 2019in part due to a massive exodus of private landlords and an increase in vacation rentals.

We want to hear from renters across the UK who have recently had to move to a different region, town or city due to rising rents, a shortage of available housing or other issues. We are especially interested in those who have left their area for many years. Where have you moved to? How will it affect you?
