South Korean prosecutors are stepping up their tactics to arrest Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon. A report published by the Financial Times outlines how South Korean authorities are now asking Interpol to issue a red notice against Kwon.

According to reports, the Seoul prosecutor’s office has initiated the necessary procedures to place Do Kwon on Interpol’s red notice radar.

Officially issued by Interpol, Red Notices are described as international alerts circulated in countries to convey information about crimes and wanted persons. If the request seeks momentum and is granted, Interpol will reportedly reallocate resources to locate and track Do Kwon.

While it is widely believed that Do Kwon is currently on the run, the Terra founder has issued multiple clarifications via Twitter, refuting such allegations and denying that he is on the run.

“I’m not running away or anything like that – we’re fully cooperating with any government agency interested in communicating, we have nothing to hide… We’re defending ourselves in multiple jurisdictions – we’re sticking to the extreme High standards of integrity and looking forward to clarifying the truth in the coming months.” Kwon tweeted

The Luna cryptocurrency crash in May, followed by the decoupling of its stablecoin UST, is considered one of the worst cryptocurrency crashes in its history.

The crash cost investors $42 billion in losses and played a major role in bringing Do Kwon to central judicial review. Following the crash, Do Kwon was involved in multiple lawsuits accusing him of committing fraud and conducting deceptive crypto activities. The developments culminated in South Korean prosecutors stepping up their campaign against Kwon’s arrests, most recently issuing a warrant for Do Kwon’s arrest.
