Steam Deck Is Speeding Up Production And Shipments


Valve has announced the early completion of Steam Deck production, accelerating pre-orders for the handheld PC gaming device.According to its recent updateall pre-orders for the third quarter have been sent email invites, and the company is now leading the way in the fourth quarter.

“We’re accelerating preorders,” Valve said in its latest shipping update. “This is due to increased production and we have again exceeded our own expectations. With today’s batch of emails, we have now sent out invitations to all bookings in our buckets for the third quarter (July-September).”

Valve doesn’t offer pre-orders, but for anyone interested in purchasing the Steam platform, adding the user to the queue. Once at the top of the queue, the user will receive an email to purchase the Steam platform. Valve updated storefronts to reflect new production estimates, “Updated barrel description: September-December.”

Steam Deck has been well-received since its launch earlier this year, giving it real competition for the Nintendo Switch when it comes to third-party games, especially indie games. Valve also recently opened an official repair center for the Steam Deck.
