Sonic Prime Teaser Goes Fast, But It’s A Lot To Take In


With the cancellation of Sonic Boom, Sonic the Hedgehog quickly returned after the success of the Sonic movie, and Netflix has answered the call. Sonic Prime is the latest series, co-produced by Sega, Netflix Animation, WildBrain and Man of Action Entertainment.

In Sonic Prime, we see blue blur and crews who need to travel through the multiverse. Fans may remember a cryptic tweet accidentally posted in late 2020 teasing the announcement, but it was quickly deleted. Netflix has released the first trailer, which you can watch below.

Scheduled for a fall 2022 release, the 24-episode first season brings fan favorites like Big the Cat and Sonic clone Shadow the Hedgehog to the series. Devin Mack voices Sonic the Hedgehog, and the show focuses on the existing Sonic universe established by Sega, but will build on this myth.

“Sonic is a beloved character that holds a special place in everyone’s heart, including myself,” said Dominique Bazay, director of original animation at Netflix. said at the time of the series announcement.
